Dr. Saurav Uniyal

Assistant Professor Humanities and Social Sciences

Dr. Saurav Uniyal is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Graphic Era (Deemed to be) University, Dehradun, bringing four years of dedicated teaching and research experience. He holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be) University, Haridwar, with specializations in Cognitive and Clinical Psychology, further distinguished by his qualification in the prestigious UGC-NET JRF examination. His research investigates executive functions, lifespan development, the effects of childhood adversity, the role of spirituality in resilience, and cognitive processes in aging, alongside cognitive distortions, psychological distress, inferiority complex, and the impacts of social media on youth. Dr. Uniyal has published extensively in Scopus-indexed and peer-reviewed journals and serves as editor of the international volume Human Cognition: In the Digital Era, which examines technology's influence on human cognition. An active scholar, he presents at various national and international conferences, collaborates globally, and conducts workshops on advanced data analysis, research methodologies, and statistical techniques, integrating theoretical and applied perspectives to advance understanding of mental health and cognitive dynamics in contemporary society.
