


Assistant Professor Humanities and Social Sciences
Dr. Sweta Khanduri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun. She holds a Bachelor’s degree (Economics Honours) and a Master’s degree in Economics from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Her research interests encompass sustainable rural livelihoods, tourism economics, health economics, and applied economics, with a strong emphasis on employment generation and region-specific development challenges in Uttarakhand, particularly across hill and plain districts. She has contributed to academic scholarship through publications in Scopus-indexed, UGC CARE–listed, and other peer-reviewed journals, and has actively presented her research at national and international conferences. Dr. Sweta has also participated in several Faculty Development Programs, reflecting her commitment to continuous academic growth. She is currently supervising multiple research scholars and is an active member of the University’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Cell, contributing to interdisciplinary and sustainability-driven initiatives. A dedicated educator, Dr. Sweta is committed to fostering an inclusive, engaging, and learner-centric academic environment. She emphasizes critical thinking, experiential learning, and analytical reasoning, with the aim of nurturing socially responsible and informed learners.
