Dr. Vineet Kumar

Assistant Professor Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Vineet Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, India, with a strong blend of academic rigor and industry-relevant expertise. He earned his Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT (BHU) Varanasi, focusing on the development of composites for advanced tribological applications. He also holds an MTech in Materials Science and Engineering from MNNIT Allahabad and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. Dr. Kumar has over six years of dedicated research experience and five years of teaching experience in mechanical and materials engineering. His research interests include advanced MMCs, sustainable and aerospace materials, tribology, corrosion, and process optimization using modelling and AI-driven approaches. He is proficient in state-of-the-art characterization techniques, computational tools, and experimental tribology. With more than 25 publications in reputed SCI/SCIE/Scopus journals, an h-index of 12, multiple book chapters, and active roles as a reviewer and conference organizer.
