Dr. Vishal Tripathi is an accomplished biotechnologist whose research centers on plant–microbe interactions, bioremediation, soil health, and climate-resilient land restoration. Trained at Banaras Hindu University, he holds a Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology and completed a prestigious postdoctoral research stay at Freie Universität Berlin under Germany’s Green Talents Program (BMBF), where he investigated the impacts of microplastics on plants and soil functions.
A recognized early-career scientist, Dr. Tripathi is a recipient of the Green Talents Award (Germany, 2018) and the BRSI Research Excellence Award (2016). He serves on the editorial boards of PLoS One, BMC Plant Biology and Land Degradation & Development and is a frequent reviewer for leading international journals in environmental science and biotechnology.
His work has advanced understanding of pesticide remediation, soil microbiomes, microplastic pollution, and sustainable land management. He actively contributes to global initiatives on ecosystem restoration, soil biodiversity, and sustainable development.
