


Assistant Professor Aerospace Engineering
Mr. Alok Kumar is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, with strong academic, research, and mentoring expertise in flight mechanics, UAVs, and aircraft design. He completed his M.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering with specialization in UAVs from the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, a premier institute under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, and holds a B.Tech. degree in Aerospace Engineering.
Mr. Kumar has been recognized for academic excellence by qualifying the GATE examination twice and achieving national distinction as the first recipient of the NPTEL Domain Scholar Certification in Flight Mechanics, along with recognition as an NPTEL Star. He has also received a Certificate of Appreciation as Mentor for guiding a student team from Graphic Era Deemed to be University in the 8th National Aerospace Conceptual Design Competition (NACDeC-VIII) organized by The Aeronautical Society of India, showcasing his leadership in student research and design activities.
Actively engaged in continuous professional development, Mr. Kumar has completed several Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), MOOCs, and advanced certification courses from reputed platforms to enhance both technical expertise and teaching effectiveness. He contributes extensively to curriculum development, laboratory strengthening, technical workshops, and student mentoring. His teaching philosophy emphasizes conceptual clarity, hands-on learning, innovation, and industry relevance, preparing students for higher studies, research, and professional careers in aerospace engineering.
