Ashish Kumar Arya is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Environmental Science, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, India. His research expertise is in avian biology, bioacoustics, wetland ecology, wildlife and biodiversity conservation, with a strong focus on waterbird diversity and conservation. He also works with the breeding biology of birds and has published research papers in those areas. He also serves as an Editorial Board member in many reputed journals such as BMC Zoology (Springer Nature), Nature Conservation (SCIE Journal), International Journal of Zoology, Scientific Reports, BMC Ecology and Evolution (Guest Editor), Agro-Environmental Sustainability (Assistant Editor). He visited the University of British Colombia, Canada, and the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Science, Beijing, China for his research presentations.
