Dr. Deepak Kumar Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, where he has been associated since 2017. He holds a Ph.D. from Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur and a Master of Engineering degree in Structural Engineering from M.B.M. Engineering College, Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur. His academic work spans structural and geotechnical engineering, with a particular focus on numerical modelling and the behaviour of soil–structure systems.

His doctoral thesis, titled “Hydro-Mechanical Behaviour of Unsaturated Soils: Constitutive Evaluation and Boundary Value Analysis,” investigated the coupled hydraulic and mechanical behaviour of unsaturated soils. His research interests include constitutive modelling, rainfall infiltration, cyclic wetting and drying, slope stability, and soil–structure interaction. His work examines how changes in soil moisture and loading influence the performance of foundations, slopes, and retaining structures, using numerical tools including PLAXIS and FLAC.

Dr. Singh teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in civil engineering, including Structural Analysis, Earthquake Resistant Design, Structural Reliability, and Design of Bridges. His teaching connects fundamental engineering principles with computational analysis and practical applications.

Alongside teaching and research, he contributes to student mentoring, academic coordination, accreditation activities, and the organisation of technical events. He served as Organising Secretary of AISTMI–2025 and Conference Convener of AISTMI–2026, supporting academic exchange and research collaboration.
