Assistant Professor Civil Engineering
Deepak Kumar Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering. He holds a Master’s degree in Structural Engineering and is actively involved in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. At the undergraduate level, he teaches core courses related to structural analysis and design, while at the postgraduate level he undertakes advanced courses in Structural Engineering.
His research interests lie in structural behaviour under seismic loading, numerical modelling of soil–structure interaction, and the response of civil engineering systems under combined environmental and mechanical effects. He has worked on problems related to earthquake-resistant design, foundation–structure interaction, and time-dependent response of geotechnical systems, with applications to buildings and infrastructure.
In addition to teaching and research, he is involved in academic mentoring, curriculum development, and departmental activities, and is committed to research-informed teaching and professional practice.
