


Assistant Professor : Law
Mr. Shantanu Shekhar is a law academic and researcher with a strong interest in legal education, research and contemporary legal issues. He is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the College of Law at Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun. His academic interests encompass Criminal Law, Criminology, Constitutional Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Competition Law, Cyber Law, Data Privacy and Human Rights. His research work focuses on emerging legal challenges relating to criminal justice, technology, digital platforms, privacy and contemporary developments in law.
He holds a Master of Law (LL.M.) in Criminology from Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, and a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) from the University of Lucknow. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Faizabad. He has qualified UGC-NET in Law in the June 2024 cycle.
His scholarly contributions include research on criminal law, criminological theories, money laundering, corporate restructuring, employee privacy, international trade and competition in digital markets. His publications include articles in legal research journals, while his other research work has been communicated to academic journals and publishers. He has also contributed to academic activities through moot court and debate competitions and has served as a Co-Convenor of the All-India Moot Court Competitions and as a judge in national-level moot court competitions.
