Dr. Pratibha Naithani

Professor & Head Environmental Science

Dr. Pratibha Naithani is working as a Professor and Head in the Department of Environmental Science in Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun. She has received her Master’s degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and awarded Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from University of Illinois at Chicago, Chicago, USA. Dr. Pratibha Naithani has teaching experience of more than 15 years. She had worked in Environmental Laboratory in Chicago and developed Mercury Speciation Method and other soil and water analysis methods. She is actively involved in teaching post graduate and PhD courses. Besides her contribution in curriculum development of Ph.D. and M.Sc. programs, she has also published research papers in famous national and international journals. Four students have successfully completed their Ph.D. under her guidance and many students have completed their M.Sc. dissertation. Her research interest includes heavy metals in industrial waste water, fly ash, soil and its remediation and waste water treatment.
