Viksit Bharat Abhiyan is a national initiative by the Government of India aimed at transforming the country into a developed nation by 2047, marking 100 years of independence. It focuses on inclusive growth, sustainable development, and active citizen participation.

The campaign encourages people, especially youth, to contribute ideas and take part in nation-building. It highlights key areas such as quality education, digital empowerment, economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social equity.

Event Description

Graphic Era Deemed to be University and Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, through their NSS units, successfully organized Voter Awareness Day in collaboration with My Bharat, Dehradun, under the “My Vote” initiative.

The event aimed to promote democratic values and responsible civic participation among students and the wider community. The program was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice Chancellors Prof. Dr. Narpindar Singh and Prof. Dr. Amit Bhatt. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 400 NSS volunteers, along with Padma Shri Dr. B.K.S. Sanjay, My Bharat Coordinator Ms. Monika Nagal, her team, and 50 My Bharat volunteers.

An awareness rally was conducted across the campus and nearby Clement Town and Subhash Nagar areas, spreading awareness about the importance of voting and informed electoral participation. The event strengthened community engagement and reaffirmed the universities’ commitment to social responsibility and public awareness.

Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) actively advances the Viksit Bharat @2047 vision through initiatives like the "Amrit Kaal Vimarsh" lecture series, the establishment of a specialized AI Centre of Excellence in collaboration with Apple and Infosys, and hosting youth-focused workshops on "Vision Viksit Uttarakhand 2047.
