The Department of Mathematics is dedicated towards advancing knowledge in the field of Mathematical Sciences through high-quality education, innovative research, and meaningful collaborations.

The Department was created to improve the analytical skills of the students of different disciplines of the University by teaching them fundamentals and basics of advanced level courses of Mathematics and allied subjects like Operations-Research, Computer-Based Numerical and Statistical Techniques, Discrete Structures, Graph Theory, Statistics etc.

The expert syllabus committee consists of faculty members from the pioneer institutes to keep the students at the University updated and revise the syllabus of the different subjects of Mathematics. The Department actively participates in the design and development of various courses of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programs in different disciplines as per their requirements. The Department is organizing International conferences, seminars FDPs and many other events from time to time. We have published Research Papers and Books with Elsevier, Springer, Emerald, Taylor & Francis, IEEE, McGraw-Hill, World Scientific, Inderscience, IGI Global and many other publishers.

The department organized the 7th International Conference on MATHEMATICAL TECHNIQUES IN ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS (ICMTEA2025), on December 5-6, 2025, at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) | Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, INDIA in (Online/Virtual Mode).

The department organized the ‘National Workshop on Data Analysis with SPSS in Modern Research’ from April 28 -May 2, 2025 on the software IBM-SPSS-Statistics, at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, INDIA, in Virtual Mode. The SPSS workshop featured 5 invited experts from renowned universities who shared their valuable insights.

A GUEST LECTURE was organized on the topic “Exploring Mathematical Research Frontiers in Multi-Disciplinary Areas” on 15th November 2025 at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University). Dr. Adarsh Anand, from the Department of Operational Research, University of Delhi, New Delhi, served as the esteemed resource person for the lecture. The target audience comprised Ph.D. scholars from engineering and management disciplines, as well as faculty members from the Department of Allied Sciences.

A guest lecture on the topic “Vedic Mathematics: Ancient Techniques for Modern Calculations” was organized on 22nd December 2025 at Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) in online mode, on the occasion of National Mathematics Day in remembrance of the birth anniversary of the great mathematician - Srinivasa Ramanujan Iyengar. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ragini Tripathi from Shri Ram Swaroop Engineering College, Lucknow, who served as the esteemed resource person.
