Dr. Desh Bandhu Singh is working as a professor at Graphic Era Deemed to be University Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He received B. Tech degree from National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur, M. Tech. degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India, and further Ph.D. degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, India. He has qualified GATE with All Indian Rank 16. Dr Singh has expertise on design, modelling and analysis of solar systems such as solar collector, photovoltaic thermal, solar distillation, and solar refrigeration. He also works on the characterization of materials. Dr. Singh has published more than 100 research articles in international reputed journals and conference proceedings and supervised 2 M. Tech. students. Presently, 8 Ph.D. students are working under his guidance. He has been granted two Indian patents, two Australian patents and he has managed to publish 15 Indian patents. He has organised one international seminar, one international conference and edited one book titled “Smart Innovation, Systems and Technologies (ISSN:2190-3018)” published by Springer Nature. He has contributed one book chapter in CRC handbook of Thermal Engineering published by Taylor and Francis. He has been featured in the list of top 2% scientists around the world prepared by Stanford University and published by Elsevier for the last three years. He was awarded the Shrimati Vijay-Usha Sodha Research Award for publication of best research papers by a research scholar in the Centre of Energy Studies, IIT Delhi during the session 2017-2018. Further, he was awarded best researcher award in international conference (ICAPIE-2019) organised by Delhi Technological University Delhi in collaboration with Delhi Institute of Tool Engineering, Okhla, Delhi, India. According to Scopus database, he has h factor 21. He is the recipient of National Scholarship. Dr. Singh has given invited talks in the international
workshops, conferences, colloquium etc., has taught renewable energy related courses. Dr Singh is life member of Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). He has IEEE membership, too.
