Celebration of Constitution Day- Justice- Liberty- Equality- Fraternity

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Graphic Era (Deemed to be University), organized Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The programme aimed to reinforce awareness of constitutional values among students.

The event was convened under the guidance of Dr Manaswi Semwal (Assistant Professor, Political Science) and coordinated by Mr Arunaksh Das, with the presence of Prof. (Dr) Prabha Lama (HoD) and other faculty members. Students of BA Political Science and BA Programme (Semester I) actively participated.

Key highlights included an address by Prof. (Dr) Prabha Lama on the relevance of the Constitution in a democratic society, a student skit based on Constituent Assembly debates featuring Dr B. R. Ambedkar and K. T. Shah, a poem recital commemorating the 26/11 attacks, an interactive constitutional quiz, student speeches on constitutional morality, and Preamble recitation in Hindi and Manipuri.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge reaffirming commitment to the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Faculty members and students during the Constitution Day celebration at the Department
