


An educational tour was organized for the students of B.Sc. Biotechnology, Semester I on 25th August 2025 with the objective of providing practical exposure and enhancing their understanding of real-time applications of biotechnology and agricultural sciences.
The students visited ICAR–IISWC, Dehradun, a premier research institute known for its significant contributions in agricultural and biological sciences. During the visit, students were introduced to various research divisions, laboratories and museum. Scientists and technical staff briefed the students about ongoing research projects, modern laboratory instruments, and advanced techniques used in the field of biotechnology and agricultural research.
The interaction sessions helped students gain insights into research methodologies, experimental design, and career opportunities in research organizations such as ICAR. The visit successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, thereby enriching the learning experience of the students.
The students were accompanied by Ms. Tina Negi and Dr. Sachin Sharma, who guided and supervised the students throughout the tour, ensuring discipline and effective learning.
Overall, the educational tour was highly informative and beneficial. It achieved its academic objectives and proved to be a valuable experience for the students of B.Sc. Biotechnology, Semester I.
